To provide a safe environment for all, motorcyclists and not, in a manner that reflects our public awareness and responsibility.

When we see things like this (from a motorcycle mailing list) we can't help but step in to make things safer:

I think you just admitted to never having ridden tired. I often ride 30
hours straight. I have caught myself sleeping at 60mph. I sleep in the
dirt behind semi trucks parked on on-ramps because that is as far as I
could go. I ride dangerously most of the time. I consider myself a light
weight in long distance riding and compare to me I think you might just be
a feather.
